Coaching Staff Changes for the New Jersey Devils
The New Jersey Devils have officially completed their coaching roster, adding significant talent and experience to their staff. His accomplishments with the Canucks and his head coaching stint with the Chicago Blackhawks—where he became the NHL's youngest head coach at the age of 33—add to his credibility. During his time with the Blackhawks, Colliton managed a record of 87-92-26 and also oversaw their AHL affiliate in Rockford.
Moreover, Colliton brings international coaching experience, having led Team Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics and previously coaching in Sweden's second league from 2013 to 2017. Playing Background
Beyond coaching, Colliton has a professional background as an ice hockey player. He was drafted in the second round of the 2003 NHL Draft by the New York Islanders, where he played as a center. Over his six seasons within the Islanders organization, Colliton played 57 NHL games, scoring three goals and three assists. His firsthand experience as a player combined with his substantial coaching resume makes him well-equipped to nurture talent and foster growth within the Devils' roster.
